Baylor Parts Ways with Coach Dave Aranda

Baylor University has dismissed head football coach Dave Aranda following a narrow 25-24 loss to Kansas, which left the team with a 4-3 record for the season. The Associated Press reports that defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman has been appointed as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

Aranda's departure marks the end of his tenure at Baylor, which spanned over six seasons. The decision comes amid growing pressure for the team to improve its performance. Klanderman's interim appointment suggests a shift in strategy as Baylor seeks to stabilize and potentially turn their season around.
