Infantino Apologizes for World Cup Sell-Off Plan

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has issued an apology to the FIFA Council regarding the controversial plan to sell off World Cup rights. Infantino's proposal had faced significant backlash from various stakeholders within the football community, prompting him to address the concerns directly with the council.

The sell-off plan was seen as a potential threat to the traditional structure and accessibility of the World Cup, raising fears about the commercialization of the tournament.
